i am confused

i want to send information from an swf to the internet (i think a database) and get information back, i started a tuturial http://www.kirupa.com/net/sql_asp_introduction.htm
but i didnt have a iis or something. so i wasted a halfhour downloading stuff that i dont even know what to do with. im thinking this is for masters of flash or something. is this over my head or is there a better way?

k, what would u recomend and how dificult is it to learn

if you're not familiar with PHP, ASP or some other server side scripting language then you are going to need to study up..
