text does not show on pc

  • Hi all,
    I'm working on a mac platform and whenever I export my flash file and look at it on a pc, the text does not show up. I always have to convert the texts to images using cntrl + b.
    sometimes that doesn't work either. Is there a way to remedy this?


  • Static text or dynamic text? If it's dynamic text is the font embedded? What font are you using?

    ah yes that was the problem. I'm using helvetica neue. static text. Do I just drop the font file from the font folder on to the library?


  • Mac only font?

    Yeah static font is technically a image built into the swf, so that shouldn't be an issue - have you tried using a different font, could be something wrong in the coding if a different font doesn't fix that issue.

  • Hmmm, it should still work, unless that is a protected font, which is certainly a possibility. Try a different font and see if that makes a difference. Static text shouldn't need any extra actions to embed it.
