  • Hi guys
Hoping for a little noobie help here never done anything with the trainers before so i am needing a little help.
I have downloaded and installed direct from XBMC Scripts.

Any way it say downloaded all ok and i downloaded a trainer from the script which also said it was installed ok. i viewed the Nfo and made a not of the key presses required to activate the relevant cheats. only problem is no cheats activated.

Could you please confirm the correct process for getting these working.

do i have to remember the key combo's and set them from the game?
do i run the game from the trainer screen to activate the cheats?

  • the context menu is context sensitive. the one in root wont have the item as it only holds the items relevant for either modifying or adding a new source.

enter your game source, then open context on a game.

The game in on disc in the dvd drive so i should put a shortcut to that dvd drive and then open the context menu?

  • Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm thanks very much for the swift reply -
Ok i have the trainers downloaded to the default path in the script Q:scriptsevox trainerstrainers.
i checked with the file manager and there are 6 in there. i pointed trainers setting in XBMC to this folder and it prompted me to scan which i accepted. but looking at the documentation you specified in the link it shows some additional buttons in the program that i don't have. the main one being Games.

I only have View, Sort by, Xlink Kai, Game saves. also the context menu for the programs section has nothing like the list in the link you sent. mine has add source and settings. if i highlight a source then it has the usual context menu. but not the ones in the link.

Hope this will shine some light on my problem and once again thanks for you quick reply

  • it works fine for games on dvd (info is saved based on xbe id, not path)

  • I pretty sure trainers are only supported for games on the Xbox harddrive but you can try

  • Too old version of XBMC?

    ???

  • Ill check the version but its not mega old maybe 4 -5 months but ill check make sure its inline with the minimume requirment

  • You first need to tell XBMC in which folders the trainer files are located in (so it can scan them), that is in the XBMC settings, then you need to active the specific trainer/cheat that you wish to use, that is under programs in XBMC under the context-menu for that game. It is all in the wiki (XBMC Online Manual): http://xbmc.org/wiki/?title=Using_Trainers

  • the context menu is context sensitive. the one in root wont have the item as it only holds the items relevant for either modifying or adding a new source.

enter your game source, then open context on a game.
