  • Good one! If you find yourself there often, obviously there is some attraction to the Word. You probably need a regular day job too, so do that also. It is good to go to church, as we have some fellowship there, but even better , is helping others. As you will see, feeding the hungry ,clothing the poor, comforting the sick are the better things to do besides collecting dust in church. Keep up on the Bible ,as it will guide you eventually to the "right place" that you are needed in your life. I have found it to be right on when there were tough times in my life, and we all have those.God bless you and good luck.

  • A lot of people read and study the Bible but do not attend a church on a regular basis. It sounds like you have a fascination for the Bible. That's understandable; it's an amazing Book.

You should take some Bible courses online and pick up some good reference books to aid you in your study. Visit your local Christian bookstore or library and dig through everything!

I am excited to hear from someone who is interested more in God's Word than in church doctrine. You are a rare treasure and no doubt have something to give to the world. Good luck and Blessings!

  • Because what church teaches isn't always what Jesus teaches. I too am trying to find my calling and as far as as I can tell so far, I am just a helper. I help those I know that need help. Hum. Talk to Jesus instead of people. That will help.

  • Well if you went to church maybe you wouldn't find yourself in the bible.

  • Perhaps you need to take this calling in your life & do something with it. Find a Christian mentor who can help you find the answers you're looking for. You'll best find one in church. Good luck! :)

  • Many people seemed to compliment you on your digging into the Bible. Perhaps many Bible truths you did find then. And I admit I would like to say to you, "Right on, man!" I believe that you like to discuss Bible and God to other people specially to those who you think knowledgeable in the Scripture. Somehow, someway, you are telling us that you have many questions about what you have read in the Bible. That, my friend, is the reason why you need to regularly attend a Bible-believing and Jesus-centered church. The truths you can find in the Bible is meant to give you an urge/power to act according to the purpose of the AUTHOR. From there you can prove and see the truth comes alive before you eyes. You have to actively participate in God's work/ministry as you use your best talents. And it is possible only through the agency of Jesus Christ's body (church). You start attending local church but before you become a member of that local you must be "configured" with the Holy Spirit. But before you receive the Holy Spirit you must acknowledge your sin and your inability to save yourself and accept Jesus Christ's death on the cross as payment for your sins as you accept Him as your Lord, God and King and Savior. I believe a pastor or a church member can help you with that. Brother, don't let the truths be a head knowledge only. Let it roll and come into life and you will be a productive and an effective servant of the Lord. God Bless.

  • buy a phone, then a cell phone...then a mobile phone...then a mobaphon...

  • good job! the bible has all the answers you will seek. you should start going to church. ask around and visit some churchs to see which one you like best.

  • Because you're obviously interested in religion?

  • God is using you in his own way, just because you don't go to church doesn't mean you don't have a relationship with God. You are going straight to the source, the word of God "the Bible" what a better way is there. Keep up the good work and May God Bless You!

  • you are about to experience an encounter with the God of this era.

  • What you're experiencing might be the drawing of God's Holy Spirit. That's wonderful! Continue to "listen" and He will lead you to your calling!

Blessings to you on your journey!

  • God will not dictate your calling to you. You determine that. If God is calling you to learn the Truth, that is different, and I advise you heed that.

You're starting off on the right foot by reading the bible and leaving the churches. God said you must "prove all things", including the bible. The churches don't really know God's truth because they've been built on centuries of man-made traditions and pagan worship.

I advise you study the bible along with a website that can help you with the interpretation and explanations of the difficult points:

  • I'm not sure what you're trying to say here...

If you mean that you aren't a religious person, but you are fascinated by the concept of God and religion, you should go into theology. :) It's basically the study of different religions and their Gods. Even if you are a religious person, if you're interested, why not? It's not a betrayal of your faith to simply learn something new about people who think differently.
